Digital Power Station 2.2
Although the quality of speakers and sound cards has evolved with time, computers' sound output is not always the best. This is especially noticeable when playing video games or watching a movie, but also when playing music or audio.
This program corrects and enhances the quality of your system's audio output with a single click. After installing it, you will see a configuration wizard that will ask you what your gear is so it can adjust the program's settings according to it. For example, it will ask you if your output device is a set of external or built-in speakers or a pair of headphones. Also, it will set the program according to the main sound source, for example, music or movies. Of course, you can modify these settings at any time.
Once the wizard has set the program, you will see the main interface. It has two very simple controls to add or remove bass or treble frequencies and to modify the stereo quality.
An interesting function is a possibility of adding different profiles. For example, if you listen to music through your speakers but use a headset when watching a movie, you can set a profile for each. Also, you can set the type and brand of your output devices so the program can enhance the sound according to their characteristics.
The main disadvantage I found is that the program is subscription-based, meaning that you can't purchase the program, but only rent it. Although the cost of the subscription is affordable, you will end up paying a lot of money as time passes. You can try the program for 30 days before paying the subscription fee.
- It greatly enhances the sound quality of your computer
- The initial subscription fee is affordable
- It is subscription-based, meaning that you don't own the program
